Welcome to Gingerbread Rats, a small rattery based in South Oxfordshire.
Gingerbread Rats is active within the National Fancy Rat Society (NFRS) and the Midlands Rat Club (MRC). Gingerbread Rats travel to club shows across the UK.
In July 2024 Gingerbread gained NFRS Stud status.
Gingerbread owned rats are first and foremost pets, their welfare and health comes before any breeding plans or show attendance. Core lines are Champagne / Chocolate and Lilac in top and dumbo. When breeding, varieties available will vary, there may be other related varieties available for pet homes such as Black, British Blue, Mink and Lavender. No specific variety is guaranteed for homing, neither is ear placement. Gingerbread Rats do not operate a wait list just an approved mail list, social media will announce any available rats for homing if any are available after the mail list has had priority for homing.
